Exams are over...and Winter Break is here

Thank goodness that exams have finally ended. This quarter went from looking like an easy-breezy quarter to being a semi-nightmare. Most of this was due to Biochemistry which kicked my butt from about the first test on. After my exam today I am feeling much better about my standing that previously. I strongly believe that I will get a 'B' in the class after my exam today, which personally is below where I'd like to be, but I can live with it. Biochemistry is simply not chemistry. At the very best, it is 10% chemistry and 90% biology, so that pretty much screws all the chemists in the class who have had no biology classes (like me). So, me and biochemistry just didn't get along at all. This will be the last I speak of 'biochemistry' because it 'angers the blood'.

My other final exams went very well. Inorganic chem was cake. Polymer chem was a take-home. And there was no exam in Dayton's Aviation Heritage. But speaking of Dayton's Aviation Heritage, I did get an 'A' on my paper as well as the class. Now only one more honors class to go.

Winter Break....big plans are what I have. I would like to continue with my scrapbooking project I started this summer, if only to clean up some of the residual mess leftover in my room. Reading for leisure is also on my to do list. Currently, I'm planning to read The DaVinci Code which will probably last me for much of the break. Also, I am looking forward to the holidays, especially decorating for Christmas. I plan on going all out this year to make things look nice, even Christmas-ing up my room this year. Oh, and graduate school applications must be finished so that has to be done.
